This was a very close call with Equifax. Even though TrustedID's CreditLock involves additional cost, Equifax's ID Patrol only applies a credit freeze to the Equifax report while TrustedID can apply them to all three credit reporting agencies including Equifax. It seems a little pointless to freeze only your Equifax report and not Experian or Transunion. We also found the process of locking and unlocking your reports with CreditLock to be fast and simple which is why its our pick for the best proactive defense.
